We are so thankful for your support throughout 2025. Esperanza has been able to complete its goal of finishing the baby project, The building, furnishing and staff have all come together to support the needs of 15 new children soon to be placed at Esperanza. This would not have happened without the faith, family and friends’ generous gifts to the organizations. 2025 was a year of completion for the baby project and 2026 will start a new chapter of hope for more children, The building and furnishing have been covered by your generosities.

Now the new 2026 challenges begin. This year we will not be about building a building, but we will be building a budget that can support the needs of the new children and staff. We call upon your grace once more to ensure the legacy of supporting children at Esperanza lives on.
We have estimated that it costs roughly $30.00 a day per child to ensure stability, care, food, education and love for each child. With the possibility of serving as many as 50 children at a time this leaves us with an annual cost of approximately $547,500 us dollars. This increase can only be met by expanding our donor base and asking more from those who faithfully give.
Can you help?
April 11, 2026, we will celebrate, The Day of the Child and the accomplishment of the donors by having, a fiesta and ribbon cutting ceremony at the Baby Project building. This will be our 11th annual fundraiser, and you are all invited. We would love to celebrate with you and your love for Esperanza!

Why Support Friends of Esperanza
Friends of Esperanza are committed to the success of this ministry that serves the needs of foster children in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora Mexico. The financial needs of the children's home are provided through private donations of generous Americans who routinely visit Puerto Peñasco and have adopted Esperanza para los Niños as a personal mission field to serve the needs of foster children. The Federal Government of Mexico and the State of Sonora do not provide funding for the children's home, but over recent years have enacted costly regulations that have made the work more expensive. Every dollar donated goes to caring for the needs of the children. As of 2023 the total annual budget had grown to $250,000 per year, and cost of operations have grown by 40% since the Covid pandemic. With the addition of the new building for infant children, Esperanza expects to expand to 50 children in the near future. We estimate that that budget needs will eventually rise to over $500,000. Costs are up and donations are down. Your gift will make an impact upon the lives of the children! Please consider a generous gift today!

Our vision is to explore and engage in activities that will bring together people everywhere who have a heart for giving and assisting christian ministries like Esperanza Para Los Niños Children's Home in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico.
Our Impact
For nearly 30 years, Friends of Esperanza have impacted the lives of so many children through our desire to participate in a ministry that serves children and glorifies God. We are grateful that we can have a positive impact upon their lives.
Our Approach
We believe in a hands on approach to helping the children of Esperanza. We regularly visit, donate funds, clothing, and supplies, and also give our time and energy to the work of building up Esperanza: Introducing others to the ministry, and spreading the word about
Esperanza Para Los Niños.
